Before watching Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju at the theatre, do buy more than one tub of popcorn. Here's why

After the release of the magnificent teaser, trailer, posters and songs of Sanju, we're sure you cannot wait to watch the film. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt and casts Ranbir Kapoor as the actor while the film will stretch over 2 hours, reports Bollywood Hungama.

Sanju will depict Sanjay Dutt's life on celluloid - spanning from his twenties to present day - with Ranbir metamorphosing into the senior actor as portrayed in the posters and trailer.

Sources told Bollywood Hungama that Sanju will be quite lengthy with a screen time of approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes.

“Rajkumar Hirani is known for films whose duration usually spans excess of two hours, and with the Sanjay Dutt biopic, it is obvious that the film will be lengthy. Given the subject matter and the fact that Dutt’s life has so much to offer it would be a mammoth task to compress everything in a shorter film," Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying.

Sanju features an ensemble cast - Paresh Rawal and Manisha Koirala play Dutt's parents Sunil Dutt and Nargis while Sonam Kapoor represents his "crazy love life." Dia Mirza has been cast as Dutt's wife Maanyata while Anushka Sharma appears in a special appearance.

Sanjay Dutt, in fact, will also appear in a special song in Sanju that will feature during the end credits, Indianexpress.com reported on Wednesday.

Sanju is scheduled to release on June 29.
