Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2: coming with ECG and more

in #samsung5 years ago

The latest smartwatch could be Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 prepared to compete with Apple and its Watch Series 4. Although the Cupertino company's benefit is evident in terms of market share, other manufacturers may also have additional margins.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 might take its cue from the Cupertino smartwatch in its recent incarnation, according to the rumors leaked at this moment. The South Korean company in specific intends to add capacities for ECG and drop detection.

In the first case, an abnormal heartbeat can be detected and the data can then be captured and shared with your doctor. In addition, atrial fibrillation can be monitored (in the background) using Afib technology.

In the second case, if a fall is detected by the smartwatch, the user will be alerted by a vibration and warning. If the latter does not press the button within a specified moment, the wearable will automatically call for assistance (and send a signal to your preferred contact).

These are two developments that Apple has announced for its recent smartwatch and that may no longer be the Cupertino company's "exclusive," although the ECG may not be present at the launch time. Still, according to rumors, there will be two versions of 44 mm and 40 mm for Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 and no rotating bezel.

There is still no release timetable data. A possible deadline for the announcement of the new Galaxy Note10 could be August 7, 2019. Another possible window is the IFA 2019 that will take place in September.
