EN CHILE LOS PORTADORES DE VIV HAN AUMENTADO UN 96%
NUEVOS ESTUDIOS INDICAN QUE CHILE A SUPERA A ÁFRICA EN CASOS DE VIH SIDA.
El infectólogo y director del Hospital de la Universidad de Chile, Alejandro Alfani, dice que “Chile ha tenido una preocupante alza en los casos de VIH Sida durante el último tiempo, que llega a superar a todos los países de Latinoamérica e incluso África”.
En declaraciones a los nuevos estudios entregadas, Alfini asegura que los casos aumentaron en un 96% en los últimos siete años, en el 2010 con 2.968 casos y 5.817 casos en el año pasado.
Según detalló el ministro de Salud, Emilio Santelices, se estima que en el país hay 45 mil personas portadoras con la de la enfermedad, con una estimación proyecta de 100 mil personas.
