Yes, we are already in Lagos. Originally we thought to sail the way down with around 5 to seven stops like Nazaré. Lisboa, Sines. But we got a weather forecast promising north wind for a couple of days. Ans sinde it was supposed to Change then again we feared that we might Need another 8 weeks for the second half of the iberian coast.

So we came to the conclusion to sail down all the way non-stop to Lagos. 280 nm which is around 500 km. And so we did.

After 51 hours we arrived in Lagos. More than 20° Celsius und sun said hello to us. Unfortunately we had a bit more wind as we wanted and some issues. Our Spinaker-pole found the way into the ocean and not good as well, our boom bent and is now looking this way:

Bad luck. We had to order a new part which is luckely already on the way to Lagos. Guess during this week or latest next week it will be here and we can replace the boom. That will be a difficult job due to all the ropes and parts we need to put off and on. Thinking about a good plan to keep in mind what part belongs to which place.

But Lagos is great. Mainly nice weather and a nice place to be. A bit to many tourists but no problem.

As we are waiting for the new boom we enjoy the place here and start planning the next stop: Marocco.
