Range Rover Evoque against the mother of all speed bumps

Once it was difficult to see a Range Rover that was not dirty with mud and had no abundant gravel and earth between the pieces of the tires. Today the Range Rover Evoque is the most popular model in the range and it is so far from the off-road imaginary that there is even a convertible version so as not to go unnoticed while looking at the panorama along the coastlines.

But this does not mean that, underneath, the Evoque does not have an off-road heart . To prove this comes this promotional video of Land Rover, which through the use of paradox highlights the technical skills of its SUV. Without mud, without earth, without stones but with an artificial back.
A huge artificial hump , the largest artificial hump of all time or, as they call it, " the mother of all artificial humps ". It was placed in the center of the road, in England, and if I found it in front of many drivers in their " normal " cars .

Most of them preferred to reverse and change the road. Someone tried to bypass it by climbing on the sidewalk, but a diligent traffic policeman prevented the maneuver. Someone else left us with a front bumper . In the meantime, some cyclists had fun and a couple of runners took advantage of it to warm the quadriceps femoral.

Then a stuntman arrived on board an Evoque and, magic, he climbed over the back without too much effort. Mission accomplished, but with a particular: the bump has cut diagonally , triggering the doubts of the commentators on YouTube.

Commentators to whom Land Rover has felt compelled to answer: " Other riders have braved the bump while we were shooting, but none managed to overcome it until the arrival of the pilot on the Range Rover Evoque! As for the angle of approach diagonal - we suspect that it is partly due to the pilot's desire to 'show off' in front of the crowd by going on three wheels over the back, and partly to avoid traffic and vehicles parked on the road ".

To be honest, the driver of the Evoque did not have much of traffic to avoid, but according to other commentators on YouTube, without a self-locking differential or an electronic one of the kind does not pass. Neither diagonally nor attacking it from the front.
