Exactly as I said. :) use a password manager or make it 12 chars with at least one uppercase and alphanumeric.
Shall I change the password inside steemit, then use it on my phone and tablet or other computers if I like. Will it cause me to be hacked by dishonest people? I can easily create a 12 character word that I can remember.
Should have no problem with that, using a password manager can be a vector of attack, so try to just manually put it in.

I'm not sure what you are doing but it doesn't sound like you are doing password stuff, sorry maybe ask someone a bit more knowledgeable than I.
