From my earliest youth I have been aware of the dangers children face in the hands of 'authorities' such as priests and teachers, and far worse in the permanent care of CPS, correctional institutions, reform schools, and foster care.

It is the primary reason I homeschooled my kids, although preventing them from being subjected to aversion therapy to learning was nearly as strong a motivation. It was the reason that I never hired a babysitter, used a preschool, or any other form of nanny, until they left my care.

May this scourge be eradicated from the Earth.
