A day outside...steemCreated with Sketch.

Until recently, my rock hunting ended when it got dark. Not anymore...at least not in the UP! This is a recent find. I believe it is called Yooperlite. You need a UV flashlight to find these. With that flashlight, they glow or seem to light up. Such fun!

Cool, I bought a few of these flash lights to find cat urine in the house. Now I can go rock hunting. lol

If you follow me, I will also follow you in return!

have never heard of these, thats such a cool shot of it

They have been there a long time...obviously...but they are newly discovered. That made the hunt for them very exciting! I love to hunt for rocks with my son. We can now hunt for them 24 hours a day! :)

That is a col thing to do for sure :)

I understand your excitement for rocks, I love to hunt fossils, living in Florida we do not have many rocks but when I do find one it is also exciting. My son is a rockhound in Colorado and does good at it.

It is a hobby that my son got me interested in. We love to do it together. Do you post pics of your fossils? I have been finding some of those too. I need more time in the day to take pictures of my rocks so that I can post them.

no I never thought of posting about them, it is a fun way to spend the day and cost is zero.

It is loads of fun...and the cost is perfect! You are right!!!

That is really interesting!

Thank you! We had a great time hunting for them.

Whoa that is so cool @nat-expressions!!
Where do you get such a flashlight?

I found this one at Harbor Freight, but they have lots of choices online. It was so much fun!

I had to go look that one up! Very cool!

We had so much fun looking for it! My son just said tonight that he hopes I can get back up there before it freezes over so that we can look for more.
