If You Haven't Seen These Robots, You Will Be Shocked - Boston Dynamics

5 Boston Dynamics Robots

I have put together a small list of robots that will probably blow your mind. Yes, some people have mentioned that a few of these listed here seem to be like something from a nightmare or terminator movie. While there is no question for how cool these robots are, and how they could help humanity, there are some doubts about the future of human beings keeping their role as the dominant creature. You decide for yourself. And remember to have your banana peels ready!

#1. Handle

This robot has a 15 mile range on a single charge, and uses wheels to balance and move at incredible speeds. For all we know, we could be witnessing the beginnings of our new police force. If I was a criminal, I would mess myself if this came speeding after me.

#2. Cheetah

The Cheetah is probably the most well know robot by Boston Dynamics. It can sprint at a whopping 28.3 mph, which is faster than Usain Bolt. These speeds have also been increasing as the years fly by, so just imagine what we will be seeing in the future. It might not be a bad idea to implement something like this into a gun range. (ethical target practice)

#3. SpotMini

SpotMini is the robot that can bring you a beer and do your dishes. It looks like the combination of man's best friend, and some freaky long-necked dinasour. It is probably my personal favorite, and I hope to see this project prosper.

#4. Atlas

Atlas is one of the more human-like robots that Boston Dynamics has developed. It weighs about 330 lbs or 150 kg. Atlas could probably be programmed to do a range of monotonous tasks that bore everyday humans. Watch the video to see how it moves boxes from point to point.

#5. Rise V3

Rise V3 is the robot that you see in your nightmares after watching a terminator movie. It is a robot cockroach that can scale walls. That's about all I have to say about this one...

It's pretty crazy to think how far technology has advanced since the early 1900's. I'm (excited/a little worried) to see what is coming out next! Who knows what is in store for humanity in the next 10 years.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the post and videos! Follow me at @aitech for more posts like this one!

Have a great day and stay safe!
