The Road Leading to the Truth

in #road7 years ago

One day in class, Socrates produced an apple, stood in front of the dais and said,"Please smell the smell in the air!"
One student raised his hand and answered,"I've smelled it. It is the scent of the apple!" Socrates stepped down the dais, raised the apple, slowly passed by each of the students and exhorted,"Smell it more carefully if there is the scent of the apple in the air."
At this moment, half of the students had raised their hands. Socrates returned to the dais and repeated the question. This time, except one student, the others all raised their hands. Socrates approached the student and asked,"Didn't you really smell any scent?"
The student affirmed,"I really smelled nothing!"
Then,Socrates announced to the class, "He's right because it is a fake apple."
The student was Plato, who later bacame a famous philosopher.
Many times, we have been close to the truth, but lack of self-confidence, we leave the truth. Plato's courage to stick to the truth derived from his firm faith for the fact. The road leading to the truth will not be smooth, so hoping not to be fooled by...You don't be fooled by the illusion, the key is whether we can stick it out.
