Bank Santander will use Ripple technology to create payment gateways in Latin America

Spain's largest bank is preparing to launch a new payment service in Latin America using the technology of the American financial services company Ripple. In particular, the xCurrent solution will be used, operating without the XRP cryptocurrency developed by the company.

One Pay FX is already being used to make money transfers between the UK and Spain. In the future it is planned to connect new countries to the payment corridors by one. Santander provides services to Brazil, Uruguay, Chile and Mexico. Which of these countries will be the first to receive access to payments based on xCurrent, is not reported.

"Customers who did not make international payments in the past now use the service; those who used international transfers now do so more often; and those who have left for competitors in the field of fintech, return to benefit from the One Pay offer," said Cedric Menager, CEO of One Pay FX.

In March, Santander said it was already using XRP's cryptocurrency "to make international payments in 18 EU countries and the U.S.," but later called this information erroneous.

I see huge good news about ripple this year, but xrp is going down, any idea why? or its just temporary and soon will be pump?
