The “RIPPLE Effect:” Internationalizing the Banking Industry

in #ripple7 years ago

It’s certainly not ridiculous to believe that the cryptocurrency Ripple could bring big changes to the global Financial Services market.

Not sure what is Ripple or what makes it special?

With the National Bank of Abu Dhabi recently adopting Ripple Cryptocurrency software, this seems a great time to mine Lord Google for some data:

·Ripple has the third-largest market cap in the cryptocurrency industry.
·Ripple is designed for seamless transactions which can be settled by banks in real time, resulting in lower transaction fees for both banks and customers.
·Ripple seems poised to become a favorite among financial institutions.
·Ripple is focused on facilitating cross-border transactions and may be used to complete transfers across multiple distributed ledgers.

I remember hearing about ripple on an NPR piece. I also remember Garfield saying he was gonna ship Nermal off to Abu Dhabi, #thetruthisoutthere

Bought Ripple last month. Holding onto them once I knew how powerful they are.

That's exactly what I thought. Banks are not going to disappear overnight pending the rise of cryptocurrency to replace government issued fiat. Their will be a transition zone that will be necessary to cross. So I think buying as much Ripple as I can afford along with a myriad of other cryptos is a very smart thing to do. I almost cannot believe that I am living at a time and aware of things that are going to make me a multimillionaire in the near future because I'm acting at a time when the knowledge of cryptospace has not yet penetrated the mass consciousness of global society... yet. How fortunate we are my friends! Spread the word and let's get this revolution rolling.

So, let's have Ripple .....!!

Ripple, otherwise known as "ScamCoin" due to the way the founders kept billions of shares for themselves. The idea is awesome...the Coin is rigged. Be careful.

I remember mistaking waves for ripple. Still remember them noob days clearly! haha Thinking of transferring my shares from Digibyte to Ripple, gone are the days of Digibyte..

Aha.. Even in India ripple is trying to provide international remittance solutions to banks... I

The banks, if it all doesn't collapse, needs something better than SWIFT, which can take up to 72 hours to clear interbank transfers. 72 hours is like a million years in cyberspace. If RIPPLE is the choice, cool. All of these games are rigged.

Agreed. Even though Ripple is basically everything Bitcoin supporters don't like, it has a very important medium term use and I think it should be in a crypto portfolio
