How can you buy Ripple(XRP) if you live in New York?

1.) Sign up at coinbase.com or download the app.
2.) Grind through verification and payment process.
3.) Buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, or Litecoin.
4.) Grind through/wait out any payment delays.
5.) Sign up at binance.com or download the app.
6.) Send your Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, or Litecoin to your binance account.
7.) Use it to buy XRP.

Now ask yourself, is there a better way? Did I just buy XRP at its highest price? Am I awesome? Should I tell this guy right next to me what I just did? Is this even legal? Am I now going to a white collar prison?
