ShortRiddles #5 - Charged for killing wife

Robert and Anna was recently married couple.

With in few days of marriage, Robert was arrested on a complaint that he has murderd his wife Anna.

But Robert filed another complaint saying that his wife was missing and he don't know anything about her.

He was then taken to the court and the investigation begins.

Lawyer: "Robert, when did you see your wife for the last time?"

Robert: "last time I saw her was when I left to office. We both had breakfast together and I kissed her on head and left home".

Lawyer then address the jury and says: "His wife is just missing and will be coming to court at any moment with in 2 minutes, everyone look at those door she will be here any moment".

The entire court was silent and the jury stares at the doors as lawyer said.

After a couple of minutes lawyer says "See!, if you were so sure that he has killed his wife, you wouldn't be watching the door.

The jury then comes into conclusion that Robert is the Murdrer and convicted him.

Why did the jury convict him?
