Riddle Me This! -- Earnings go to the winner

It was Mid Term week at Constance College in 1992. Students were not allowed to check out of their dorms for Christmas break until the RA had done a "white glove" check to make sure the dorm met cleaning inspection. Sarah had finished her mid terms early and had asked the RA to inspect her dorm so she could leave for vacation.
When the RA made her way to the Dorm, she opened the bathroom door and found Sarah lying dead on the floor. It was clear she had been cleaning in anticipation for the inspection. She had a scrub brush in her hand and some other supplies strewn about: some rags, a bottle of Windex, a pumice stone, a can of Ajax, and some paper towels. The rest of the dorm looked spotless. The bathroom appeared to be the last item on her list to clean--she had obviously been cut short.
When police arrived, they took an inventory. There was no sign of break-in, foul-play, accident, or injury. And Sarah had no life-threatening medical conditions to speak of. Police had four main suspects: her roommate, her ex-boyfriend, her French TA, and the maintenance guy.
All of them had an alibi. Nevertheless, the police were able to discover the murderer within the hour.
Who was Sarah's killer, and how was she killed?

She killed herself...
She poisoned herself with the cleaning supplies.
Why yes she did. More specifically, she inadvertently combined two chemicals (ammonia and bleach) that made a toxic chlorine gas. And because the door was closed, she suffocated. Good job, although not the winner.
