I like this one! :)

i've posted this one on TSU back in 2015 :) i used colored sand in the glass to get the background effect the water and oil are transparant.

I really do need to play with oil!

by all means please do surprise me :)

I really may. :) It looks intriguing.

Thanks for the hints! I had no idea how these were done! tip!

my pleasure , i'm already thinking about new challenges with water and oil but will have to wait until i'm moved to the new house and settled down. still 8 days to go until i get my keys ..

Oh, I was thinking you were much closer than that, but, in the big scheme of things, eight days isn't too bad. Are you prepped and ready?

most things that we didn't want to move again are gone now , so that part is prepped, next week i need to see what needs to be painted i know the floor needs to dry at least 7 days before i can move in after i painted it the 2nd time so if all goes well and as planned we should be living there before october 14th

Sounds long, but, from my own experience, you are absolutely doing it the right way. Once you move in... it doesn't get done as fast. Ever.

This is awesome! Thank you for the tips!

Hi Sir Mick, add how much olive oil? Don't laugh as I tried this last night and about 5 lonely drops stared back at me! Then I tried a flood of olive oil an one big lump stared back at me! I stirred it with the small fork and took a shot. Only to discover that in low light my camera doesn't work too well. What a laugh!

i do use a reporter flash + http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Pringles-Can-Macro-Diffuser to get the light where i need it. i only used a teaspoon of oil. dues to the magnification of the reversed lens the bubbles look a lot bigger in the picture then they are in reality .

Ah, so I have to find a way to magnify the bubbles! No money for a reporter flash, but I will try to make another plan. Thank you Sir Mick!
