One of Aceh's fascinating traditions is khanduri blang. or often called Khanduri Tron U Blang. This is one of the traditional forms of activities in Aceh, eating together in rice fields where farmers grow crops.

In ancient times, this tradition was an obligation for Acehnese farmers. Form of implementation to the gratitude and hope of the farmers to the creator to succeed and get a blessing. So this tradition is a community activity that is considered allowed by the scholars of the Jurists and Sufism in Aceh.

If first kenduri blang done to ask for mercy from nature, then the process of Islamization change the way of view of society so that thanksgiving addressed to the creator of nature, Allah SWT. The form of Islamization can be seen from the agenda kenduri blang usually filled with religious nuances such as praying together, reading yasin, and dhikr together.

The history of khanduri blang has existed since ancient times. Usually the agenda peuseujeuk done in selecting seeds and so forth. Prior to the celebration, there will usually be a deliberation or preparation of activities by some or various farmer groups that exist. That way it can minimize cost and budget. Usually this event is done by eating together with the cutting of chicken, goat, or cow with the main menu of rice wrap or known as bu kulah. Khanduri Blang is very popular with the people of Aceh.
