For example the supplement industry is worth hundreds of billions of dollars and is not stringently regulated so a lot of the supplements you purchase don't actually have the ingredients on their label in the amounts described, or have ingredients that were not disclosed on their label. So they can not only be a waste of money, they can be dangerous.

And like I mentioned the other day, if a vaccine scientist did half of what Andrew Wakefield did, anti-vaxxers would want them in prison.
