Miller's Reviews Presents the Video Game: Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
#H1 Miller's Reviews Presents the Video Game: Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

I know I am a couple months late on this one, but I have been playing catchup on my video games since the holidays. My latest game was the Dishonored series' expansion/spin-off "Death of the Outsider." As most of y'all may already know this is an action-adventure semi-stealth game by Arkane Studios and Bethesda.
#H2 Warning: May Contain Spoilers
Format
I played this on the XBox One.Story
This spin-off focuses on the Dishonored side character Billie Lurk, as she goes on a mission to find and kill the mystical and mysterious "Outsider" from the Dishonored series. You may remember him as the guy in the shadow realm who gives out the spells/powers/abilities/whathaveyou of the main characters in all of the games.Critiques
I don't have too many critiques, overall the game was enjoyable, but the biggest issue was it was too short. Granted I know this wasn't "intended" to be a full game, and they tried to spread it out by having one of the levels pretty big, but they kind of lost me when they re-used the same map for the very next level. My only other small (and I mean small) issue was the lack of customized powers like you had in previous games, but they all fit with the character and are more than adequate for getting the job done.Final Thoughts
Overall it was an enjoyable experience for what it was, a side piece in the Dishonored vein. I know that may come off a bit harsh, and I don't mean that to dissuade anybody from picking it up, it's a good and fun game and priced accordingly since it's half a game at half a price ($30 USD as of this review). If you're a fan of the other Dishonored series games you'd be missing out to not pick up this little gem. The game throws just enough innovation from the original like the contract system to stand out, but I'm not sure what replay value the game would have unless you wanted to run through once with and another time without killing anyone.
Too Long Didn't Read Version: Game was good, fun and enjoyable, and despite it's half a game, it's half the price, so I would recommend you pick this one up on sale and spend a weekend playing through it. You won't regret it 4.5/5 stars.
