Rear carbon fender on two wheels
Rear carbon fender on two wheels
After R9T, I'm doing something one by one nowadays.
I did PPF a few days ago, and before that I put on the aluminum cutting parts of RSD ...
Today, we've got a carbon fender for the rear Orleans suspension protection that we've been very concerned about.
Normally, you might have noticed the carbon fenders of rim burgers (= Bulderly) or other tuners, but I bought FactoryM, a domestic carbon maker that I noticed when I bought a bike.
Before buying, I thoroughly read the YouTube, articles and company website posts as well as the cafe reviews.
As a professional carbon maker struggling in the harsh Korean tuning market, I was passionate about it, and I really liked the uncompromising quality.
Personally, I think there should be at least one or two quality tuners in Korea.
Although the country has policies for the development of the tuning market, it is a pity that it is inconsistent with the policy with strict enforcement of the crackdown or tuning regulations.
This is one of the videos I've watched with interest and attention.
I went to work one hour earlier than usual using a flexible working day. (It's business time to pay later.)
Pocheon is farther than I thought.
I ordered the carbon parts two weeks ago, and when it was completed, I visited and installed it.
I am a car carbon lover, so I wanted to go there and look around the factory, and I was curious about the vision of the workers who had so much enthusiasm that they jumped into the world with a vision.
In conclusion, I've been able to talk a lot about productive and interesting stories for quite some time.
This is the carbon fender made for me.
Why is this for me? The carbon yarn used in the rear carbon fender is different.
When I contacted Pack X Ream, I was about to produce a rear fender stock,
I asked if I could produce products with the same carbon pattern (3K twill) as BMW genuine carbon parts, because I was able to do custom orders just in time.
I was very lucky. ^^
Normally, carbon parts are made by stacking several pieces of carbon yarn in a mold. The stiffness depends on how many pieces of carbon yarn are stacked.
If you use less yarn, the carbon will bend and lurch well, and if you pile too much, it will become hard like plastic and lose elasticity at all.
In particular, in the case of carbon parts on a bike, it is difficult to produce parts with the best rigidity and adequate elasticity by controlling the number of carbon yarns applied to the parts that are combined with the body and the parts that are not.
If it is too weak, fatigue cracking will occur, and as a result, AS burden will be on the manufacturer, and consumers will have to replace the defective product.
It's a good carbon part, piled up one by one on the mold, rather than on top of the FRP.
Charm carbon yarns are made from the finest yarns of Korean carbon and toray carbon, and epoxy is also made from the highest quality epoxy produced by Kukdo Chemical. I liked it because it uses high quality raw materials in order not to compromise on the quality.
Check if the product I purchased is OK and proceed with the installation.
It's a very difficult task for a shit hand like me, because I have to lift some bikes with a car jockey to mount a fender.
So when it's time to leave it to a professional, it's easy.
I went back to the factory while I was working.
Newly released 109 carbon slings
Why this is 109, because the carbon hardshell that weighs in is 109 grams.
3k twilled toray carbon yarn, tempesty albatem oil pull-up Italian vegetable leather It's made up of alcantara, so it's very pricey but I want to buy one.
It seems to be a good item to carry around not only when riding a bike but also everyday.
This is a carbon shell made using our own molding.
It's very sturdy and light that's very strong against impact.
I can see the blue shell carbon shell, I wanted to ask you how I got this color because I know it's not easy to dye the carbon yarn, but it's a trade secret.
You can see the 3K twill pattern, but you can also see the hexa-pattern carbon. The price is very expensive.
Inside the factory there is a big space like this,
There is a production room and facilities for the production of carbon products.
Now take a look around my bike before installing the carbon rear fender.
I wanted to compare in my mind how there would be a difference in mood when there was a presence and absence.
Recently, the aluminum cutting parts of RSD are so pretty that it was very good to buy.
Now if you wear a fender, you won't be throwing tough water or sand gravel anymore with the brilliant rear suspension.
As I looked closely at the day, I thought that the rear fender was a must item for me who thought that keeping the vehicle clean as well as the suspension was the first place.
Take the jockey, hold it, and unscrew the bolt.
This is where Loctite should be applied later.
Please note that the tightening torque is 59Nm.
Simply remove the bolts, place the rear fender correctly and retighten.
There is no step, so it fits perfectly.
The product produced by other brands overseas cannot be considered as a true full carbon fender because the joints with the bolts are made of iron.
Pack X Liem Mark is also a metal sticker.
But when I look at it after wearing it, there is something unobtrusive.
That's the tandem seat frame.
Is there something that makes me look crazy or does it look a little messy?
We thought that we should beat without having to worry one.
I looked for the removal manual and it was not difficult, I think I can do it.
Since the bolted joint is carbon, it must be tightened to the very precise torque specified.
What happens if you do it wrong? Clear coat can break .. ㅠㅠ
It's something you don't want to imagine. ;;;
This is the state of my bike.
Now the back and forth can be protected from contaminants.
The tandem seat frame should be removed as soon as possible. haha
The combination of silver and black seems to go well together. I really like it ~
I need to install the RSD plugs that I bought before.
There are a lot of mosquitoes in the underground parking lot these days.
The 3K twill carbon pattern is a familiar pattern to my eyes.
There are other patterns, too. It's good to see if the three arms (my car nickname) are carbon parts.
I'll go down to the parking lot with a mosquito and remove the tandem seat frame today. ㅎㅎㅎ
After the rear fender was installed, I came to the office for a while and heard the story.
I almost felt like a living room just by looking at the office.
I think each one of them has a clear vision for this business, so I wondered if it would be one of Korea's leading tuning brands anytime soon.
And this is the residue left from my rear fender.
This is the actual thickness. It's harder and lighter than I thought.
In the BMW M Performance carbon parts, this thickness is a little bit thicker, and you can see it on the bonnet, which is a lot thicker than you think.
On the contrary, the place that should be thin was made thin. This picture was probably one of the thickest parts.
Now I'm out of the office to go home and go to the bike where there's one part in my eye that's the engine head cover.
It's also made of carbon and it's very hard, and it looks a lot lighter and stronger than I thought.
I actually showed you the parts that were scratched and slipped, but the quality of the product seems to be good when it is not torn or broken.
Of course, the price is expensive. Maybe this wound can be restored, otherwise you have to buy one again. ㅠㅠ
Nevertheless, it is often acceptable to think about the functional aspects of protecting the engine properly.
Now head to Sindorim at Pocheon.
For beginners like me, it was a long way home.
It was my bike carbon rear fender landing mount.
It's a company that develops composite-related products in Gyeonggi-do, so I think I'm getting funding.
End.
