Henry Roth, played by Adam Sandler, is not keen on relationships due to his fear of commitment. He has a reputation of using his profession as a veterinarian to womanise female tourists while working at the sea life park. However, that all changes when he meets the beautiful Lucy at a restaurant. They hit it off from the first day. They have a connection that Henry feels like it may last a lifetime. They kiss and the night feels magical to Henry.


The next day he discovers she has short term memory loss and forgets everything that happened including meeting him. He returns to the restaurant where the restaurant owner explains that the year previous, Lucy and her father went to the north shore to pick a pineapple for his birthday. On their return, they had a serious accident that left Lucy with amnesia and as a result, wakes up every morning believing it is Sunday October 13th of last year.


This is when we are taking on a journey with Henry, He can not help how he feels for Lucy and is willing to go the extra mile for her because she thinks she is the one. He continues to try and help her despite her family's disapproval. When a police officer had given her a ticket for her out of date plates, Lucy argues with the officer stating that it is October 13 th not realising it was a year ago. She discovers the truth and rushes home where her family has to tell her the truth.


What will happen with Lucy and Henry and her relationship with her family when the truth is revealed?
