A long-awaited film, Sully: miracle on the Hudson River, a long-awaited cooperation: Clint Eastwood - Tom Hanks! Typical American story, characters typical American. The Director is esteemed and loved the time when he 'gave' Unforgiven (Clint Eastwood), working for the film that depicts pure guts and pure dedication with Tom Hanks, one whose movie career is exactly as he described the character that impressed the whole world, Forest Gump:“Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get”.
The film Sully: miracle on the Hudson River tells the story of a solitary event in aviation history, that of Captain Chesley Sullenberger manages, facing the impossible, to land the plane on which it steers the Hudson River after both engines they'd been inactivated meeting with a flock of birds. Feat to make it the first hero for saving all souls on board his aircraft.
Those in aeronautical safety committee considers, however, that he could save the aircraft and submit to an investigation during which true professional, which was under a tremendous stress, come to doubt himself.
SCENARIO
Although largely subject was known, as well as the outcome of the story, Clint Eastwood managed through a mastery that he's not foreign, treat the subject as a great puzzle game consisting of different pieces temporal parts are intertwined finally a happy ending.
Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors. It was great in Forest Gump, was huge in Philadelphia, HE was great in Terminal, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile or Cast Away. He is a consummate actor, so somehow you expect to see him in memorable roles. And he do not disappoint us this time, and let the magic happen here.
With a makeup that makes him look strikingly like the character in real life, how an actor like him transmitted through facial expressions or gestures overwhelming feelings makes you appreciate more such talented people, unique to their generation.
Aaron Eckhart, copilot Tom Hanks in the cast and the action it rises, both in terms of acting and emotions transmission, up to the task entrusted by Eastwood. Sully is his support during the investigation, is extra pair of eyes he needs to chase Sully doubts.
CRITICS REACTION
With a high degree of emotion given the announcement of the premiere, the film Sully: miracle on the Hudson River is highly anticipated by the public and critics who saw him did not hesitate to express their appreciation.
Moira MacDonald, Seattle Times critic, believes that if there is no Tom Hanks to help the Eastwood brings to the screen Sully's heroic deed, then it would have to be invented:
If Tom Hanks hadn’t existed to play the title role, Eastwood would have had to invent him: This is one of those cases where movie-star persona and real-life legend blend perfectly.
