Review of the film "The Shed" (2019)

The world premiere of the film "The Shed", created by American filmmakers in the genre of horror and drama, took place on October 5, 2019. In the Russian box office, this film appeared on November 15 of the same year, and it can also be found on the Internet on sites that provide services for viewing movies online.
Again, our translators got wise to the name of the film - "the devil's back Room". The original translation is "Shed". Perhaps this way they wanted to attract as many viewers as possible. Only I didn't meet the devil here. It is hardly possible to call a vampire a devil, except that only because the process of rebirth of a person into a vampire occurs almost instantly after the bite.
And I was also struck by a considerable number of negative reviews. Fortunately, this has never stopped me - before I say no to a particular film, I will watch it myself, and then I will decide whether to recommend it to my friends and acquaintances or not. I will say to this film, YES, it is worth watching at least once. This is quite a high-quality horror story, designed more for teenagers than for adult horror fans.
I'm not one of them, maybe that's why the film seemed quite interesting to me. I even got scared a couple of times, even though I was never a coward. There is something to tickle the nerves, cause an explosion of adrenaline. Yes, the plot of the film is quite simple, without any problems, but I would probably say that this is what we need. The main goal of the film was to cause fear in the audience, and the creators of the film, directed by Frank Sabatella and screenwriter Jason Rice, certainly did very well.
At the center of the events is a teenager named Stan, who was left an orphan early. Here, perhaps, the filmmakers could explain more clearly what happened to his parents, there is only a hint that something terrible happened to them.
The boy is not quite at ease with the law, as he is reminded by his grandfather-a drunk and a rude man who "educates" him, and the local Sheriff. And at school, the guy has continuous problems with both teachers and a group of "cool" students, from whom he and his friend Dommer do not have a pass and have to constantly get involved in a fight. In General, everything is as usual. The strong always blame the powerless.
To add to all this trouble, Stan one day discovers in the shed where the tools are stored, a certain evil creature, a meeting with which is fraught with great danger... From this point on, the plot of the film begins to develop rapidly. I do not understand why the film causes negative responses from the audience - it is good enough to pass the evening, although it is better to watch it all the same during the day, and then suddenly dream at night...
The film stars JJ Warren, Cody Costro, Sofia Happonen, Frank Whaley, Timothy Bottoms, Chris Petrowski, and other actors. I must say that almost everyone played at the proper level. I just didn't quite like Shivan Fallon as the Sheriff. Sometimes it doesn't look quite natural.
