Review of Blade Runner 2049
The first film Blade Runner worked on by Ridley Scott. But now he is an executive producer, and the position of director is occupied by Denis Villeneuve who worked on Prisoners (2013), Sicario (2015) & Arrival (2016).
Search Traces Of The Past In the Future
Located 35 years from his first film, the film focuses on the figure of K (Ryan Gosling) who plays the LAPD police. He was assigned to eradicate all the rebellious Replicants, such as Sapper Morton (Dave Bautista).
While clearing up Sapper Morton, K's agent found the mysterious Replicant's body. Instead of keeping silence, the curiosity of agent K leads him through the clues for guidance. Until finally leading him to Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former member of Blade Runner at LAPD who disappeared for 30 years.
The search for K's agent in tracing the past is not smooth. His move was blocked by the owners of Wallace Industries (formerly Tyrell Indutries), Niander Wallace (Jared Leto). This is where the conflict starts to rise and the tension of the movie begins. Firing shoot, human jotos and Replicant, until the game of emotion in the film is ready to make you melt in it.
Slow Groove, Enchanting Setting
Taking a backdrop in 2049, cinematographer Roger Deakins successfully portrays life in California in the future. You will also be treated to a sophisticated view of Los Angeles, to the depths of San Diego in the future. Spellbinding and spoiling the eyes!
Acting out K's agent, Ryan Gosling looks tough on the outside, yet fragile inside out of curiosity with his past. More value, he successfully played emotions well from beginning to end. Unfortunately Harrison Ford who became a key character does not appear so much.
In Blade Runner 2049, Agent K is accompanied by a beautiful AI (Artificial Intelligence), Joi (Ana de Armas). As for the antagonist, Luv (Sylvia Hoeks) will certainly attract your attention during watching through his ruthless action.
Blade Runner 2049 promises visual and CGI effects that make the eyes comfortable, the solid cast's ranks, and the complex storyline to unravel the past in the future. Also the music that accompanies throughout this film, feels rhythmic and full of keteganggan in every scene!
Although it takes patience to watch this 162 minute movie, but Blase Runner 2049 is a movie that must be watched by you this year. Do not forget to prepare popcorn and cola while watching this movie in the cinema!
