My take on Criminal Minds: Season 13, Episode 15 Annilihator

I'm going to put this out, first and foremost: Deputy Director Barnes is an asshole.
Now, I'm going to go through it, step by step, about why I think she's an asshole.

1. She marched into the BAU and suspended Emily Prentiss. This started a fracture in the team that she exploited.
2. She placed Jennifer in Charge, but didn't listen to her. If you put someone in charge, you as a supervisor, should givem room to act and then listen to them. Especially if they've got more experience that you do in a subject.
3. She volunteered the BAU to solve a crime that a police department hadn't even asked them to solve. The FBI can not step into a jurisdiction and just take over an active crime scene. According to federal law, the FBI needs to be called in by the local law enforcement, then they are only there as an advisory unit. They don't do the actual dirty work.
4. She went in with a preconceived idea of who was guilty, just based on a hunch. In fact, she did it twice, and both times, she was wrong.
5. She lied to a potential victim, and tried to coerce her into saying what Barnes wanted to hear.
6. When they got a lead on the actual guilty party, the team gave her good information, and a strategy on how to talk the guilty person down. She didn't listen.
7. She put an innocent person in danger. She took the potential victim to where the armed psychopath was and if that person hadn't been wearing a kevlar vest, that person would have been shot.
8. When Jennifer called her on her heavy handed action, DD Barnes went directly to the Director, behind the teams back, and before they had even had time to write an after action report, and proceeded to tear the team apart.
9. She reassigned Prentiss, assigned Reed to be a professor at quantico, forced Rossi into retirement, and had a special position created for Jennifer. (One which had no power or authority, and couldn't do anything at all without talking to the DD.)
   So, in short, this is why I think Barnes is a prime, grade AA, asshole.
