In X(the year) 1999 John Sullivan (Jim Caviezel) established contact with Frank Sullivan (Dennis Quaid), his father, through an amateur equipment of radio. This event appears to be normal, but Frank died 30 years ago in a fatal accident. John is a detective and he decides to prevent the death of Frank and to give instructions to his father by means of this unusual machine. In the development of the story things get out of control and the main characters have to solve this personal and time paradox. Frequency is a wonderful film because it mixes drama, suspense and science fiction and it exposes the time travel in an unusual way while the movie creates a complex parent-child relationship.

The films of science fiction about time travels end to clutter the principal plot but in Frequency this does not happen. In this film only the radio waves travel in time making the storyline focuses on the suspense and captures the spectator in the objective of the main character.
