SPANISH FOOD! Octupus, Squid, Spanish Tortilla Potatoes - TABERNA MARUCA (Sanxenxo) Galicia SPAIN | An Orgánic Tomato 5€?

Casa Maruca is a place where you can eat the typical dishes of the area. It could be said that it is a restaurant of style bramble, inside the Galicia deep that very few tourists know. And is that certain is that when you travel is difficult to find the right places to taste a good menu of the area, that is why more and more people are trying to read opinions like this or documenting in forums or pages of the sector .

                         

 

It can be said that Taberna Maruca is a place that you are not in the tourist zone but ... The question is:

Is it worth going to eat at this place? My answer (based on my experience) is: it depends ...

It depends on many factors and obviously the type of dishes you want to taste, if you are gourmet and fine, do not go and if you intend to eat a lot and cheap, either.

                         

 

My menu was as follows:

• Octopus
• Tomato
• Provolone
• 1/2 Tortilla
• Squid
• Bread
• Cake

The exquisite octopus, in its point and with olive oil and hot peppers as this dish is usually served.

                         

The tomato, omaigah!, One single tomato served cut into four pieces seasoned with olive oil, basil and salt, at a price of 5€, personally I find excessive, since in the markets of the area, you can find boxes Whole organic tomatoes (about 12-15 Kgm) and usually own production for less than 5€. I found this expensive, not very expensive!

                          

The provolone is a complement to combine with "the tomato", when joining it form a pairing, personally as if you were eating margarita pizza. Although bread is also very good.

                          

The tortilla is not worth anything, is thin and quite bland, a strange taste that can not decipher. In Galicia I have tried a lot, but that much better. Same as squid

                          

The Sangria, the best! Without hesitation. Of Barrantes wine, at its right point, of bitterness and sweetness, an ideal accompaniment.

                          

The desserts ... I have tried them better, they a few serving of homemade cakes, of a basic and conventional elaboration, without more repercusión in your paladar, quite expensive, to 4€ the unit. Personally I recommend taking the strawberries with cream simply, they look very good.
