Crows are the best!
They are so smart. They never forget a face.
They make great pets too, but they will steal anything shiny and they will stash around the house.
If it recovers and you are able to release it back into the wild it will always return to visit. It will bring its mate for your approval and bring the babies by too.
Crows are very misunderstood. They can learn to talk to!!
You are a good person
I've been repeating some words that I think would be funny for him to learn and most of them are not cusswords. We found out that he loves watching videos so I've been showing him things like this to get his hunting skills going. My first hope is that he heals up enough to return to his family, so I don't want him to fall too far behind on natural crow-like stuff. I also picked up a laser pointer and he seems to think it is magic.
My cousin taught my aunts bird to say "fat butt".
She was not very happy with him.
Those lazer pointers are like doggie drugs. My dog Roxzee would hear the click and go nuts.
Too easy to make animals run into walls (oops did I type that?)
I think all that bird stuff comes naturally. With falcon's they kick the baby out of the nest to force them to fly. I was working in my garage one night and looked up and there was a baby falcon sitting on a rack of wood molding. I was surprised the parents were not in there too. I decided not to stay in there and just left the door open. It eventually left.
Sometime I will tell you the story of the falcon. squirrel and the sunflowers!
They are still hanging around. They live on my block and I've been friendly with them for about a year. Ru and I go out on the porch for breakfast so they can at least see that he's being fed but they're not done scolding me for stealing him. The minute I open the front door, they screech and swoop. I wish there was something I could do to set them at ease but they're just not having it despite all the extra treats I've been putting out there for them.
Awww, it must be difficult to watch. I feel for the parents not knowing how to get their baby back from you, and yet you're the only reason they still have that baby! I'm hoping that one day I'll get to watch your video of the reunion between the three of them:) <3<3
I had to log out and clear cache to get it to play. Chrome works great for uploading but playback is a problem sometimes. It's working now over here on both Chrome and Firefox... Don't let it be the boss of you! FIGHT THE ROBOT!
YAY got to see it, wow that was some crazy zooming in action on those maggots, they were so small!! I can't wait to see part 2 <3 <3 <3 And 3 hehee!! Keep em coming!!
