It wasn't that Trump was all bluster.

I don't recommend the party actually do this, but the Dems can quite literally do nothing and will benefit in 2026 when that former group remembers that they had negative approval of Trump's first term during his actual presidency.

And that was during a first term that did have cooler heads around to prevent some of Trump's worst behavior. I always have to remind people that it wasn't that Trump was all bluster. No, he was quite serious about a number of things, but the people around him didn't agree.

Trump and Republicans will now be the incumbent party and have a trifecta at that. And we could very well have another pandemic and major geopolitical crises.
