I came here from places where people interacted in the morning, afternoon, evening and bedtime!
I came here from other social media sites, where people’s get 600 likes on a picture of a puppy!
But here people can have zero comments and zero upvotes.
Ouch! That’s not very social.
Humans need social interaction to survive?
I read an article that said: Babies who are not hugged and talk to by mother’s wither and die despite being fed and watered!
I read that during this Pandemic People deprived of social interaction actually get depressed and decline cognitively very fast, in addition they gets common infections and die at a greater rate then those with normal social interactions!
Humans crave social interaction
We are nourished by good will.
We are social animals and apparently it feeds our very bodies and minds.
Social interaction is like an essential vitamin or nutrient to keep us healthy!
On Social Media Platforms making comments and giving likes to 25 people everyday is normal
But on most social media platforms people don’t get paid.
We were social for free.
Steemit is Special
You get paid to be social.

On Steemit building up your list of friends is like building a list of people who are going to send you money!
But despite it being different, It’s still Social Media People!
Say: Hi! I like your picture.**
Say: I like the picture of your dog he is cute.
Say: I love the pretty red and orange colors in your sunset.
Be nice
You should act like somebody you care about is reading what you write (like your mother).
Before you press post ask yourself ? Would I feel good if somebody wrote this to me?
Steemit is a wonderful way to interact with people about stuff they like and when you read their posts they tell you what they are interested in!
The best thing here is that the likes or upvotes are like money!
Actually they are money!
Who doesn’t need money?
Even you are someone lucky enough to not need anymore money, you still need human interaction.
But for the rest of us who do need money, why don’t you comment, praise, make observations or acknowledge the words or emotions of other human beings!
Why would you not want to talk to people who are going to send you money?
Do the Math
If your new and your account is small do the math!
Your a small fish in a big ocean!
How are people going to find you? Your comments!
Why will people take the time to read your posts? You read theirs!
Why will people give you an upvote? Because your comment nourished their mind, body and soul.
How much can you make from posts that nobody reads and no body upvotes? Very little
How much do you make from comments ? The author reward, 50%

Steemit is like a game to me, where you succeed by following the rules.

Reward others with an Upvote
Remember to Follow them, and hopefully they follow you are building your team!

Retention : help each other through encouragement to stay active and Play to win

I know you are right! But it takes so much time...
Because of our Uganda -Project I have to spend a lot of time in the net and communicate with a lot of different people.
