What is @rePhoto?

Some of the best photography content on steemit is also the most undervalued. This is not through lack of effort, skill or talent of the author, but simply the post falling through the cracks to "the bottom of the pile". This is most common with minnow's and photographer's new to the steemit platform.

rePhoto's primary aim is to give author's at least one more chance of exposure to the photography community. It resteem's only photography content back to photographer's across the steemit platform. rePhoto also use's a random upvote algorithm to increase exposure to post's and furthermore reward photography work through a fair system. There is also manual curation constantly searching for undervalued content to reward.

"@rePhoto is an automated service that looks to curate/upvote and resteem undervalued photography content across the steemit platform. In particular, it aim's to work alongside minnow photographers increasing their exposure and in turn reward payout. Manual curation is used especially to promote authors where additional time, effort and love is clearly reflected in their photography work."

How to use @rePhoto

(To limit abuse you must follow @rePhoto for a minimum of 2 hours before using the service.)

Using rePhoto is very simple.

First, you have to ensure your content is photography based as rePhoto is ultimately here for the photography community. To do this a 'Photography' tag must be included in your post. After posting your content, copy the URL link to your post and open your Steemit wallet. Click on the Steem Dollar amount and select transfer.

In the 'To' section type 'rephoto'.
In the 'Memo' section paste the URL to your post
In the 'Amount' section type in the correct amount to send (see below)
Click 'Submit'

After this your post will be automatically resteemed and you will receive a comment on that post to confirm!

Prices for @rePhoto

We especially encourage photography minnows and those new to Steemit to use rePhoto, so with this in mind we have deliberately set the price very low for those with reputation currently lower than 33 and use a simple algorithm to calculate a slightly higher price for those above.

Fixed 0.01 SBD	Reputation level / 1000 (i.e 52 / 1000 = 0.052 SBD)

Troubleshooting

If you are receiving error messages, please read below.

Problem: "@username is not a follower, or 2 hours haven't passed since following"

• Solution: To limit abuse our service can only be used after you have followed rePhoto for a minimum of 2 hours - the only solution for this is to grab a sandwich and wait it out.

Problem: "Paid (SBD amount) but the price for (...) reputation is (SBD amount)"

• Solution: A common issue once users continually using the service increase their reputation. Remember the price will be 0.01 SBD until you reach a reputation level over 33.

Problem: "rephoto is a photography service. Please include a photography tag to resteem your post!"

• Solution: Remember rePhoto is for the photography community. A photography tag must be used in order for rePhoto to resteem it!

Whenever a problem arises your original transfer will be refunded automatically back to your wallet with the appropriate error message.

Remember, you can only use rePhoto once per post.

rePhoto may not be immune to the odd bug - if there is any other problem please contact us directly here.
