Bathroom pictures from dreamsonics
Dreamsonics
So if you don't already know, I am a contractor by trade. I do it all, plumbing, electrical, tile, walls, siding, etc... I have been thinking of also adding to my posts, some how to guides in remodeling. I think it would be a great learning tool for people, as well as a great way to save money. Many people say I should have been a teacher, so maybe this would be a great way for me to do that. Here are before and after pics of a bathroom job I did a couple of years ago in an old century home. This was a 8' x 10' room. There was a 4' x 4' cast iron sitting tub that I had to remove to get started. Nothing that a little sledge hammer can't fix. The tub weighted around 450 lbs. So taking the pieces out was laboring to say the least. The customer decided to replace the old tub with a restored claw foot tub that I would have to re-plumb under the floor. The floor was another thing. It was leaning pretty badly, so I had to tear out the existing floor in order to get it level. We added 3/4" Wainscoting to the walls for added decor. Behind the new claw foot tub, we decided to tile the wall in glass tile (which cut my hands about 30 times). Altogether it came together to become a beautiful showpiece. I hope you enjoy this transition. Chris
