Covering the head is very important and while praying, Zoroastrians are required to read/recite portions from their Holy Book called the Avesta (Gathas). Found over 3,500 years ago, Zoroastrianism preaches there is just one God and they call that Supreme Being Ahura Mazda meaning the Wise Lord, it also has the concept of the Devil called Angra Mainyu and it is regarded as the oldest monotheistic religion in the world. At a time, it was the largest religion in the world but today it has followers mainly in Iran, India and the United States. Here are the five daily prayers of Zoroastrianism:

(1) Hawan. It begins from early morning when the stars begin to cease to appear, and lasts up to 12 O'Clock when the sun comes overhead.
(2) Rapithwin. It runs from 12 o'clock noon to 3 p. m. Literally, it means the pith (pithwa) or the middle part of the day (ayarê).
(3) Uzerin. It runs from 3 p.m. to the time when the stars begin to appear. Literally, it means the time of the advancement of the sun.
(4) Aiwisruthrem. It runs from nightfall to midnight.
(5) Ushahin. It runs from midnight to dawn when the stars begin to cease to appear.

Major features of Zoroastrianism, such as messianism, heaven and hell, and free will have influenced other religious systems, including Second Temple Judaism, Gnosticism, Christianity, and Islam. It was founded by a prophet named Zarathustra (Zoroaster) in the mountains of Iran, its holiest city is Yazd in the Islamic Republic of Iran. In Zoroastrianism, Ahura Mazda is the beginning and the end, the creator of everything that can and cannot be seen, the Eternal, the Pure and the only Truth.
