Rejected because of sharing Christian truth - Know This!
Often I sense rejection from friends on social media just because I share the truth. I sense it a lot with Facebook where I interact daily with friends in my wall as well as in other groups that I joined and those that I manage. I went to youtube to get some preaching to give me the strength to withstand the pressure I often feel from rejection.
Below is what I got from the message:
- Remember that Jesus Christ Himself was rejected both for His message and also for who He was. How then would you expect to be free from rejection when the one you follow and extend His message was rejected?
- Narrow is the gate that leads to life (the truth) but broad is the way that leads to destruction. Probably if you are with the minority, you are the one on the right track than the many that agree on something that suits their comfort zone.
- What harm can man do to me that can rob me off of my eternal life? Not possible, simply do what is right and work at pleasing the creator.
This does not mean that as Christians we should be careless and never care about the love we should be getting from people around us. It also does not mean that we dont feel the pain of rejection. What is means is that we have to live with it sometimes as a reminder that the real brother, a friend and father is Jesus Christ who loves at all times.
