RELIGION AND THE SIN PROBLEM
Is religion the solution to sin? Despite the advent of many religions, sin seems to be on the increase. This makes me to ask myself if religion is really the solution to sin or are we practising religion with the wrong midset set. Please I need the opinions of steemians on this.

I think that if you look at a biblical definition of "religion", it basically just means rules that one lives their lives by. Even though standards and rules are a good thing to have, I think what you're seeing is that they're ultimately insufficient. I don't think religion--a set of rules--is the effective solution to sin. Jesus Christ died so that man could have a spiritual solution to sin: a relationship with God.
So I guess to answer your question, No. I don't think religion is THE solution to sin.
You are right from the Chistian point of view to religion.
