Does God Really Exist?
There are so many people that have so many different answers to this question. Some say He does, others say He doesn't. Then there are many who don't know whether He is real, or whether He is just a myth; nothing more than a creation of our own imagination. But no matter which answer is correct, this question is certainly the most important question that you can ever ask.
If God is not real, then believing in that sort of thing is unnecessary and perhaps a waste of time. But if He is real, then not heeding what He has to say would be the biggest mistake of our lives. The first question that we must ask ourselves; do I truly want to know? You must desire the truth, or you will give up before you have even begun. So I challenge you to take this discussion seriously, and search within your mind and heart, and you will find the answer.
I know that there is a God. But that statement alone lacks the processes that I have gone through, and the evidence that I have discovered, which lead me to that conclusion. That is my hope in writing this. I want to show you why I know with all of my being that there is a God, and that He created you and me and this earth that we stand on. So let's begin.
In this scientifically advanced era that we live in, many people believe that you must be able to see something to know that it is real. This is interesting because although we cannot see God with our eyes, we can see Him through various other ways. If there is no God, then we don't really exist as "humans". Rather, a human being would merely be our perception of matter that happens to form in a pattern, but we would be nothing more significant than any other collection of matter i.e. animals, minerals, celestial bodies.
As we know, there is a significant difference between a rock and a human. We can think and choose for ourselves for instance. Our brains can perform much more complex processes then animals brains can. Was this achieved blindly? Did we have primitive ancestors whose brains grew both in size and complexity with no direction upon mere happen stance? This is like thinking that a river could carve a stone to be a replica of a human face without any direction. You just give it enough time, and let the river cut enough rocks and one of them is going to be a success. If you were to propose that idea to anyone they would call it ridiculous.
That is because we know deep within us that things do not happen like that. If you are crafting a work of art, you must guide the brush along the canvas, move the clay into its desired form, etc. There are things that guide, and things that are guided. We all know that! Gravity is the force that guides objects towards the center of our planet. But if that same object were placed in a location somewhere in the universe that had no gravity, that object would not move. But if someone where to push on the object, it would suddenly begin to move, but not only that, it would to move in that very direction, at that very speed, until another force was applied.
This is how it is for us, and it is quite plain to see, because this is how our universe works. Something or someone had to "push" for the big bang to take place, for evolution to begin, and for gravity and all other forces to be created. This is certain, and indisputable. The question is, what made the push? Was it some force, or was it God? I argue that it was God that made the push. I don't know how he did it, but I know that He did. It is the reason the evolution has lead us to where we are now. God has been consciously guiding us from the beginning, till we became what we are today, just as the artist guides his brush along his canvas. No stroke was accidental, each is made with a great purpose in mind. likewise, He has a great purpose for you!
Think about this in your mind, and feel free to ask questions.
