Why do we sin?
To do sin, is to break the law of God. The Bible says that all wrongdoing, is sin.
How do we know what God's law is?
The ten commandments are the foundation of the rules, although that there are more rules that we have to apply to than the commandments.
Matthew 22 : 37-40
"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. " All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
When the love barrier is broken, hate starts to build up, and hate is a sin. We can say that hate causes a relationship issue between you and God. And when that starts to begin then you start to forget about your belief. Which is not the path you want to take.
Sin is caused by what our mind and heart desire, not by the thought of what we need. If you have to think twice about something, then you know it's a bad idea. Talk to God before you make a decisions.
Romans 3 : 10
"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one'"
We can be anyone, the best in what you are doing, you can be the president and even anyone you can think of, you have sinned. No person has not sinned in their life, but sin is like a second nature. We just tend to forget that we have sinned, and then we do nothing about it, and we do not even feel bad about it. But it needs to change. Someday judgement day will come, and then we can't explain why or what we did wrong.
You have to be taught between right and wrong. It is the parents job to teach their children. They will learn the difference and sin will be less.
If we sin, we feel bad and guilty about something. God will help us to overcome that.
Romans 6 : 23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Sin leads to death, but afterwards will be the glorified days of eternal life. Live through God, ask for help and when you feel good or bad, pray!
May i just weigh in here. Have you never thought that maybe the idea of GOD, or Jesus, was a completely misconceived notion of reality at the time of their writing? We all seem to look above for guidance, yet no one ever looks inside. We are fractions of god. And if we stop looking out and start looking in, through meditation, Yoga and other spiritual practices we soon see that god is not an exterior being. He is inside us all.
Wow! I'm touched. I love your message because it is on point. I think i will have to start re-building my Christain life. Thanks man!
