Daily Pearls #June 16th | John 14:1-2

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me: in my Father's house are many mansions ..." John 14:1-2

How wonderful it will be when we get to the Father's house! In our life there are many "first days" that we all remember: the first day at school, the first day at work, etc. All these are unforgettable days, especially the first day in our spiritual life, the day of conversion, which should always be a living memory for us. But you should never say, "The first day after my conversion was the most glorious day of my life." For that glory, this burning love that you had as soon as you converted you need it now too. You have today the same Savior you had at that opportunity! The Scriptures say: "Jesus Christ yesterday and today is the same, and will be forever." The first day that you will spend in eternity will be your last day on this earth! This great reality should not be ignored. It is not in vain that the psalmist says, "Teach us to number our days, that we may obtain a wise heart." The fools who live and behave in this life as if they were to live forever are blind, for we will all pass into eternity, and this often happens suddenly and inevitably. This "X" day will be our last day here on earth and the first day in eternity.
