What is the Standard, Is There One?

We all have heard there are crazy people out there, I could not agree more. In fact, the old estimate was that one in three are crazy. This statistic was taken back in the late 70's. My guess is that it is a higher ratio now. But in order to differentiate acceptable and scrap in quality control we have standards that we gage to with a set limit above or below in a histogram. What would be the Ideal person to use for this standard? Today people are drifting into several augmented realms. Many have even defined themselves among one of the new genders. Some want to classify themselves as their favorite animals. Many role play their fantasies, not being content with who they are. Some even vicariously live thru their sports heroes or children. If there is any one left, and if that person could be a standard, well, there is either a lot of scrap or a greater standard deviation of acceptance.
I guess we are all here because we are not all there.
