Well well well! According to science being single is less depressing and more like a "Happily ever after".
According to recent studies being single has many benefits. Some of these benefits are being more social and having more friends which is psychologically very healthy. Being more physically fit than you would be If you had a partner. And also one of the more obvious ones is that you would have a lot more alone time and self improvement.

Lets start with single people having more of a stronger social network, or social connections. According to their studies of about 280,000 people, they found that single people tended to socialize more and receive help from other people and also give help to other people. To be honest this does make sense because when I was single I would talk to more people and help people that vented to me, but now that I am not single I hardly talk to other people and I haven't really had anyone besides my partner vent to me. So I can see how this could be true. Anyways having a strong social network helps people foster strong friendships, and having friends is helpful for aging well and being happy! Studies have shown that as you get older that get more out of a strong friendship bond than a family bond! Well shit! Might as well start becoming closer to your friends than family! Just kidding just kidding! These studies also showed that if you have, on a regular bases, contact with 10 or more people you are much healthier and happier than anyone else that doesn't. Makes sense why popular people are more happy or seem to be happier. Hmmmm?

Now lets talk about single people being more fit than people who are coupled. This one makes sense in of it self. I don't know about you but when I was single I had more time to myself and had more time for self improvement and worked out much more than I do now! They might be on to something! Researchers surveyed 13,000 people and discovered that single people who were never married worked out a lot more through out the week than their friends or family members who were married or who were divorced. This does make sense because lots of people do tend to settle more when they're married or coupled! Another study that was done in 2015 compared BMI's (body mass index) of 4,500 people and found that people who were single or unmarried on average had lower BMI's. The over all study showed that married couples had more pounds to them than single unmarried people. This should motivate everyone who's in a relationship to start hitting the gym more!

Single people develop more individually which good turn out to be a huge benefit to them. some studies and research have shown that single people who have more a lone time develop a stronger sense of freedom, creativity and intimacy. A psychotherapist who goes by the name of Amy Morin also stated that being single could also boost ones productiveness! Well duh! More focussed on your goals than your mate! Sometimes I feel like some of these scientists just speak the obvious. She also said more time to yourself could help you get to know and understand yourself more. On top of that there also evidence that being single gives people a stronger self-determination and strong psychological growth that someone who is in a relationship. These studies really boost the prestige of being single! At the end of this article theres a quote by DePaulo, a psychologist, that states "The beliefs that single people are miserable, lonely ... and want nothing more than to become un-single are just myths"

(Interaction Paragraph)
After reading this article I actually learned a lot. We grow up thinking being single is a bad thing, and that being single makes you miserable but no one really talked about the benefits! One crazy idea came to my mind though! While reading this article! Could the self improvement of single people be a biological instinct? Because think about it! When people are single they workout out and try to improve themselves, but could this improvement be to impress and find a mate? This could explain why people tend to relax more after they find a mate and why they work less towards physical improvement! In nature animals do lots of things to attract mates! So if you really think about it this could easily by a way we humans try to attract a mate! By working on our selves mentally and physically to gain a successful income and to look better to potential mates!! But shit I don't know!! What do you guys think?? Comment your thoughts, questions and Ideas!!
