As I gird the loins of my heart to propose to my would be yoke fellow, the only question that has been on my storex of love reserved for the ideal day is "will you be part of my life for the next 50yrs and beyond?"it is quit a deep question that will engage her to have deep thought before giving an answer right!!!?.
I for one have taken time to really analysed the above question in order to harvest some facts and realities about long lasting relationship and a continual and enjoyable marriage life and not just for ephemeral as observed these days. Being part of someones life who is from different background, with different paradigm and the like is really something one have to put into cognizance before any further step not just for the pleasure you see currently. So get that right!..
One of the reality I personally harvested from that question is that Your would be is your TRUE FRIEND. Who is a TRUE FRIEND? A TRUE FRIEND is someone that is very close to you, who has a direct role and influence on your destiny as well as everything that surrounds you(cedarlite, 2018). A true friend has corrective admonition prowess in order to sharpen your life in alignment to God's will and divine blue print for your life. Talking about corrective admonition, below (but no limited)are enumerated measures that a true friend can really be of help when giving admonition in a corrective manner:
a) A true friend REBUKE you when you are treading the wrong way-When your partner has the tendency of supporting you when you are wrong especially when you have evil intentions, then you are sure you may not live long. You may need to think right to act right before answering this sole question again..."will you be part of my life for the next 50yrs and beyond"...(prov 37:5).
b) A true friend always REASON with you-Am crystal sure that you won't like a partner that is a sadist nor one that is difficult to understand especially when sharing opinions and ideas...ehh!!watch out very well before you give that answer(RELATIONSHIP IS MEANT TO BE ENJOY NOT ENDURE)...Acts 24:20.
c) A true friend REMIND you. You are meant to sharpen one another by reminding each other of your passion, goals, visions and purpose in life ...prov 27:17.
d)A true friend RESTORES you-Can your would be partner still say I love you when you are down? can your would be partner still stand besides you during the difficult moment of your life ?can he/she really pay the sacrifice of standing in the gap for you?hmmm...friends please look very well not just for ephemeral but go for what can last...because YOU DESERVED TO BE ENCOURAGE WHEN YOU ARE DOWN , YOU DESERVE TO BE CHALLENGE WHEN THE FUTURE LOOK SO ODD...so be careful ...james 5:19
e)Finally, You need a true friend that will REMAIN with you always-Can he/she remain with you forever even in the period of your wilderness?hmm.. take time to think on these before taking any steps. ezek 3:15.
Hmmm...I believe you need a TRUE FRIEND and not A TROY FIEND for a partner...NOW YOU CAN ANSWER FOR ME "WILL YOU BE PART OF MY LIFE FOR THE NEXT FIFTY YEARS AND BEYOND?" THINK THROUGH FIRST BEFORE GIVING AN ANSWER.
