End Family Separation NYC Rally and March - June 30, 2018

Thousands marched on June 30th from Foley Square across the Brooklyn Bridge to this rally in Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn. Here are a few excerpts from the many impassioned speeches mostly from women who best express the importance of family bonds, especially for those at risk of violence. The crisis of child refugees separated from their parents is an unprecedented attack on basic human rights. Many of the children are no longer able to be reunited as their parents have been deported. New reports also illustrate how the children are being physically abused, drugged and traumatized for life in most cases.
