Make Your Only Caramel Sauce
If you haven’t tried homemade caramel sauce, you’re missing out. This recipes makes all the difference in baked goods. Mix it in to pie, drizzle it on ice cream, pour it in to your coffee. However you indulge, you’ll be sure to enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ cup half and half
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Heat the brown sugar, butter, half and half, and salt over medium low heat in a medium saucepan. Stir continually with a whisk for 5 to 7 minutes.
- When the mixture starts to get thick, add vanilla. Stir and cook for one minute longer.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, pour in to a glass jar.
That looks really good. Can I come over and have some? Just kidding.... kind of lol.
