💝 Fish Steak With Onions 🍳
Make fried fish even tastier!
It's so easy to cook. It takes only about an hour to prepare and marinate the fish and about 20 minutes to fry.
You will need:
1 medium boneless milkfish (or your preferred fish)
1-2 TBSP oyster sauce
salt
ground black pepper
3-5 cloves of garlic
2 mid-sized onions or 1 large onion
3-5 TBSP soy sauce
Let's get cooking:
Thoroughly clean the fish and mince the garlic.
Slice the onion into rings and set them aside.
Marinate the fish in soy sauce, garlic, oyster sauce, salt and pepper for an hour.
Add a little fish sauce if desired.
Fry the fish until golden brown.
Add the marinade and some water, just enough to cover the fish or less.
Add more oyster sauce and/or other seasonings to taste.
Top with sliced onions.
We like this dish much more than fried fish for some reasons. You don't need to eat that much because it has some broth and onions. It saves a lot of money since unlike in fried fish, the marinade doesn't go to waste. If you put only a little water, it would taste close to "adobo" but without any vinegar, it still has a distinct taste.
You can also use tenderized beef or chicken for the same recipe. Just use thin slices of meat and add enough water so you can boil it until tender after frying. Frying is a step that makes many dishes tastier so we don't skip it.
