CHILI CON CARNE AMERICAN RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 1kg of minced pork or veal
- 500g of beans or black beans
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 onions
- 1 red pepper
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon perrins sauce
- chopped cilantro
- chopped chives
- salt and pepper
- Oil
Preparation
1.- In a large pan, put a little oil to heat over a low heat. Add the finely chopped garlic cloves and let them cook here for a couple of minutes. That do not catch color
2.- Add the onions and the red pepper also chopped and mix all with a wooden spoon. Season and let cook another 5 minutes more
3.- Done this, we add the peeled tomatoes and cut them into cubes. We integrate with the rest of the ingredients and cook another 10 minutes more.
4.- When all these vegetables have been cooked, add the spices. Cayenne, ground cumin and paprika, perrins sauce and a little cilantro and chopped chives. Mix all the ingredients and let cook 1 minute more
5.- Add the minced meat - which can be pork, beef or a mixture of both. We take your part of salt and pepper and we are going to go crumbling it with the same wooden spoon, in such a way that there are not very fat mazacotes. At the same time, we are integrating it with the rest of the ingredients. We let the meat cook until it loses its color to raw.
6.- At this point, we will add some of the broth where we cooked the beans (they are cooked by soaking them the night before, and the next day, we put them in an express pot, with enough water to cover them, a little of salt and counting 20 minutes of cooking since the valve rises) and cover the pan. We let cook everything around an hour, over medium heat. That the meat softens well and there is concentration of flavors.
7.- Finally, we add the beans. We mix all the ingredients and serve. You can add them with something more or less broth depending on your taste
