- الاستخفاف بإسهاماتك في العمل أو حتى عدم الرغبة بها
لكل منا أفكاره، ويرغب في التعامل مع أفكاره بجدية وأن تدخل حيز التنفيذ. فكم نسعد جميعًا عند المساهمة في عملنا بطريقة خاصة.
أما حينما يستخف مديرك أو شركتك بأفكارك أو حتى يسخر منها، يعد ذلك أمرًا مهينًا، بل إنه مثبطٌ للهمم، وسرعان ما ستتوقف عن الاهتمام بالعمل.
فالحياة أقصر من أن تشعر باللامبالاة.
2- التعرض للنقد على الملأ
نحتاج جميعًا إلى الحصول على تقييم هادف يساعدنا على التقدم، وجميعًا نحتاج إلى دفعة خفيفة، وجميعنا نحتاج لإخبارنا بإمكانية إنجاز الأمور بطريقة أفضل أو كيفية القيام بذلك.
ولكننا نحتاج لمعرفة مثل هذه الأمور على انفراد.
فالحيأة أقصر من أن تقضيها في انتظار اللحظة التي ستتعرض خلالها للنقد أو حتى الإهانة أمام الآخرين.
3- عدم سماع كلمات الشكر على الإطلاق
نحتاج جميعًا لكلمات المدح، فحينما نفعل أمرًا جيدًا، نحتاج لمعرفة ذلك، وجميعنا نفعل أمورًا حسنة حتى أصحاب الأداء السيء.
فالحياة أقصر من ألا تلقى عرفانًا على إسهاماتك.
4- يحرص مديرك على تعزيز العلاقات مع رؤسائه وليس مرؤوسيه
أتعرفون طبيعة المدير الذي يقضي جل وقته في “تتبع” رئيسه بدلًا من أن يركز وقته وانتباهه على تقاريره المباشرة، كما لو أن وظيفتك الوحيدة تنحصر في المساهمة في تحقيق المجد الأعظم المنسوب لمديرك.
المدير الناجح هو من يعي بأنه إذا نجح الفريق ونجح كل عضو من أعضائه، فإنه ينجح بذلك.

5- تشعر وكأن لا هدف لك
كم نرغب جميعًا في الشعور بأننا جزء من كيان أكبر، حيث نشعر أننا نؤثر على حياة الآخرين ولا نؤثر على النتائج وحسب.
فالحياة أقصر من أن تعود كل يوم إلى منزلك وأنت تشعر بأنك أنهيت عملك، ولكنك لم تنجز أمرًا ذا أهمية أو هدف.
6- تشعر وكأنك مجرد رقم
كل شخص يمكن استبداله؛ لأن كل شخص يعمل في الأساس ليحصل على مقابل مادي، ولكن الناس عادة ما يتطلعون إلى جوانب أخرى بخلاف العائد المادي. فإنهم يرغبون في العمل مع أشخاص يكنون لهم كل الاحترام والإعجاب على أن يحصلوا على نفس القدر من الإعجاب والاحترام.
فإذا لم يتوقف مديرك من وقت لآخر ليجري محادثة صغيرة حول العائلة أو توقف ليعرض عليك بعض المساعدة أو تقديم إطراء ما، إنك إذًا لست إلا مجرد ترس في الآلة الكبيرة.

Life is too short for you to develop your professional career at the expense of your career.

How we all want to feel that we are part of a larger entity, where we feel that we affect the lives of others and not only affect the results.
Life is too short to go home every day and you feel you have finished your work, but you have not accomplished anything of importance or purpose.
- Feel like you're just a number
Everyone can be replaced; because everyone basically works to get paid, but people usually look to other aspects other than the material return. They want to work with people who have all the respect and admiration to get the same admiration and respect.
If your manager does not stop from time to time to have a little chat about the family or stop to offer you some help or a compliment, if you are just a gear in the big machine.
Life is shorter than becoming a torso in a great machine.
