RE: Why highly intelligent people are often considered insane
I really thought I'd found something solid and secure in mathematics. Then I took a course in abstract algebra. That's when my brains popped out. There really is no such thing as straight line. All systems are built on (0 and 1) and neither can actually be defined. Mathematics is language like any other language. It describes something but is different from what it describes. Like words... they're names of things but they are different from the thing they name. That was when I became determined to find out was going on. What's it all about?
There is a saying
You will always be an endless mystery to yourself, just as fire fire doesn’t burn itself.
We can imitate and manipulate nature by using mathematics.
But you can’t really understand it through thought or study because these things exist on the level language so it’s Just to get a vague idea. Real stuff is more complicated than language.
20 minutes twice daily of transcendental Meditation and your brain will actually change in order to enable you to experience and understand what’s really happening. All without the need for thoughts.
I hope you find the thing you’re searching for.
But like all things. We are drawn to the mystery. Once we find out the secrets, we might move on to something more mysterious.
I guess that’s why we forget.
