Cat dies from bird flu.

The pet cat got it from raw turkey cat food that was infected.

H5N1 is quite deadly in cats. At infected dairy farms, a lot of cats have died from drinking the infected raw milk. Others have gotten it from exposure to infected dead birds.

The raw milk deaths in cats are part of why we assume raw milk will be a vector for humans as well.
