Ribbon-Tailed Astrapia
There are many species of birds in the world, ranging from small to large, colourful to plain, and flying to flightless.
Ribbon-Tailed Astrapia is a species of bird of paradise. This bird has also known as Shaw Mayer's Astrapia ( Astrapia Mayeri). These birds are distributed and endemic to subalpine forests in the western part of the central highlands of Papua New Guinea. This bird is the most recently discovered bird of Paradise. This bird's males have highly iridescent plumage and remarkably long tails and its length about 39 inches and its colour is white and female have shorter tails.
The body of males are velvet black and females have a much duller brown and black body with an iridescent head. This bird's size is medium sized. The male bird's sized is 125 cm with long tails and female's size is 35 cm.
