I apologize

The music industry is as corrupt as any banking institution you might walk into. They promote negativity to the zenith and hardly ever promote songs or artists of actual substance. Rap was an art form of revolutionary force. It spoke to the pain and realities of living in 'Merica. It gave white people in particular a viewpoint most had tried not to notice but it was too loud and in your face to hide from. Immediately the corporate fake news media set out to demonize the art form because it shed light on the inherent corruptions of this form of hyper-capitalistic bankster elite class which must keep the 99% oppressed, particularly black and brown peoples. Weapons of choice would include drugs/alcohol, police brutality/killings, poverty, mass incarceration, etc. Now its rare to hear a brother like this get any kind of airtime because he is making in intellectual and controversial statements of truth with force and verve.

Thats excellent and I fully agree with your point of view, Rap lost its dignity and its message once it sold out to the big labels .... its still the best form of protest music though and in my opinion has had a revival since the internet came along with Immortal Tech, Vinnie Paz, Akala to name but a few. Good post and followed!
